China Hut in Medford

The hostess was extremely rude to a young lady trying to place an order for 2 for dinner ... our waitress was very pleasant gave us good service .. the food was the worst i have ever had burnt items in the rice , fried shrimp very small tasted like from a cheap frozen box... egg rolls wow not good at all .. everything tasted like tv dinner reheated in a microwave.. the hostess was extremely rude to my daughter while she was paying the bill no thank you , how was your meal , no smile not a word would never ever reccomend this restaurant or return for another meal ever

Been going here since I was four years old! My favorite Chinese restaurant with amazing staff and delicious food! Large portion sizes and affordable prices.

Food was Bombay and customer service exceptional.

I went to pick up a to go order, August 5. My friend had Mar far chicken and chowmein. The chicken was really, really over cooked, the chow me in, the best ever. I got the sweet and sour chicken, again areally over cooked, and rice was great. $19.95 for Chow me in, and rice, most of the chicken uneatable. Use to be great, maybe new owners? I, will not be going back! Why 1 star, it was ready fast, and have to give 1 star for review, otherwise would have been none!! I forgot it looked like chicken had also been sitting around, not warm. Upon putting it on my plate, lukewarm, could immediately see it was hard and overcooked. Use to me great, not anymore, stay away!! I just got tasting, the left over chicken, realized, it tasted awful. I will go to Safeway on Stevens street, considerably better Chinese chicken!!

The food was really good and the service was excellent !

Lots of food, 1 dish was to our liking and the others were not so tasty. The hot and sour soup was not good. The waitress was very friendly and great.

she likes to eat the crab cakes and the people really nice even down to the earth dishwasher and they're my kind of people!

This has been a long time favorite spot of mine. I don't live in the area anymore but this place is so good that when I visit town I bring a cooler to take home the extra takeout . The pink sauce is also second to none. I can't find a single other place that has the food and sauce like China Hut does. My personal favorite on the menu is the C for 2/4 with all white meat chicken and sub the sweet and sour pork (which is also very good) for another mar far chicken. So good!!!!

Great food great prices

The food was scary and they never refill your water. They take the crackers away as soon as you are done with soup. I'm pregnant and really like crackers with sause. I had to ask for them to bring them back. I was very frustrated by the end of service. The egg rolls were saturated with oil and grey inside. They scared me and look liked leftovers and actually made my body lethargic.

Placed an order to go in person. They offered to give us our soup and hot tea while we waited as the wait would be 20 to 25 minutes. They sat us and we enjoyed some tea. After 35 minutes of being ignored, and the table next to us (who arrived 10 minutes after us) got their food I had to basically grab somebody to get their attention. They said they would check where our order was. 5 minutes later the gal who took our order returned and gave us our food. I asked if it was fresh or had been sitting there for a while. She said it was fresh and had been sitting less than 5 minutes. Checked it in the parking lot and it was soggy and luke warm, definatley had been sitting at least 15 minutes. So disappointing. Would not reccomend this place for to go orders.

I really enjoyed the family style dinner ,that is the best value for your money. They have 4 to choose from.

Picked up my food and arrived home 15 minutes later. Food was only luke warm by then. They left off part of my order, but I didn’t discover it til I got home, but at least I wasn’t charged. They also forgot to give me the side of sweet and sour sauce I requested. Pink sauce was rancid. My son discovered that after he already poured it on his mar far chicken. Fortune cookies were stale. Will not go back here. Beware!

Very good Chinese food! The atmosphere could use a boost...... it seems to be stuck in the 70s.

Food has no flavor whatsoever. Everything tastes like cardboard. The only DECENT things to get are chow fun, and fried rice. Would NOT recommend. Great service though.

Ok one word CLAM CHOWDER. Ok that's two words I guess. Friday is Clam Chowder day! I go here for lunch and have the orange chicken and I up size my cup to a bowl for two dollars more. Well worth it! And if I do dinner on Friday night then we order the soup to go. I can't remember the price but it's a really huge container and my wife, daughter and I all have a great big serving if chowder! So yes, a Chinese restaurant for the best clam chowder!

China Hut is always delicious. Great value for quality and quantity of food. The same server/s have been there for at least the last 10 years, making for a comfy and familiar atmosphere.

My daughter Lorein took me out to dinner.

They have really good food at affordable prices.

Decent Food and the service was not excellent

Been going for 20+ years this place is amazing. Went for a birthday tonight and used the large room for the party. It was all excellent food and service very good.

My all time favorite Chinese place! Best veggie egg rolls ever.

The food is horrible. I bought takeout and when I got home. 5 minutes later. The food was cold overlooked dried out and nasty. I asked for gravy on my egg foo young. None. Mar far chicken couldn’t eat it after second trip back. I told the lady at the front counter I would not come back and she said I hope you don’t. What a terrible place. Don’t waste your time or money

The service was okay but the food wasn't great. I don't expect much from this place, but this visit was particularly unsatisfactory. I only eat here because it is my Grandma's favorite place and even she didn't enjoy it. The taste and texture was off from normal. I had fried rice, chow mein, and fried shrimp. The shrimp was fine but the rice and chow mein lacked flavor.

I love the food there and the service is fantastic! Probably the best egg rolls I’ve had, of course with pink sauce. And the chicken lo mein is great if you want something lighter! Excellent orange chicken as well.

Have been going here for years by far my favorite Chinese in the valley. Never disappointed always hot fresh and delicious.

The food was very delicious, the prices are great, and the service was excellent. If & whenever I return to Medford, I will be stopping here, for sure !!!

Food was delicious and good quantities

I don’t know what this is but it’s definitely not what most people would consider chow mein. Dry flavorless “noodles” and just little bits of chicken rib meat and tons of onion. Basically a while onion in there... and the General Tao’s is absolutely tasteless and does not even taste close to what you’d consider General Tso’s and has to be at least a day old. Potter stickers too are very bland and the dipping sauce is just rice vinegar. How disappointing for a bday dinner. Waste of $30. The prices on their menu are also not correct (+$) and their Testimonials are ten years old... no wonder it was dead when I went in there....

Have been going to China Hut, or ordering out for many many years. Never have I been disappointed, good food, good service, friendly atmosphere. I was surprised to read so many negative reviews. I realize every place of business can and will have substandard service or food, thankfully I have never had any of that! 🍜🥡😋
